The popularity of the 76-86 has grown immensely over the last 5 years as folks that had on of these when they were younger or wanted one are searching for quality examples. Additionally, the marketing department at AMC Jeep created so many great color and package combinations from 76' - 86' that new enthusiasts are realizing how great these classics are. This particular 1981 Jeep CJ7 Laredo is one of Jeep's best packages. Blending the V8 304 power of the 76-80 CJ's with the Laredo packaging created a 1 of 300 limited run in 1981. The story goes Jeep had a very limited amount of AMC 304 V8 engines left in 1981 and allowed dealers to special order 81 Jeeps with a V8 early in the year. Add in that this vehicle is rust free, Laredo packaging and V8 makes it likely one of only a few dozen produced.
The current owner purchased this vehicle in 2023 from Connecticut, where it only resided for approximately 2 years. Previous owner in Connecticut rarely drove the Jeep and it was stored in a heated garage. Previous ownership per the CarFax (attached) states this is a southern Jeep from Georgia, where we believe it was sold new in 1985.

Seller states new Goodyear Wrangler Radial P235 75R15 tires were installed in November 2021 with less than 500 miles of wear. Oil change is current.
